In July 2026, Jim headed to Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands to visit some of the villages we have been supporting with cookstoves, school scholarships, and micro-entrepreneurship mentorship & interest free business loans.

Thank you to those who contributed towards the recent donation of biomass solar powered cookstoves. We're pleased to hear that 32 cookstoves have now made their way back to the Islands and are being embraced by families and the village.

3 New Handwashing stations for schools in KiribatiThrough our partnership with ChildFundNZ, three new handwashing stations have now been completed across some of the most remote islets in Kiribati - and they’re already making a remarkable difference for local children.

Cookstove Great Help with Small Business in VanuatuWilliam from Port Villa, Vanuatu "Thank you very much for the stove. My mother and sister have been using the stove for a small roadside stall vending business. Others in my community use it as well when there is a lot of rain and their firewood gets wet. It is a great help for us."

Cookstove saving time and money in Fiji"Bula vinaka. We really love using this cookstove here in my village in the interior of Fiji. It helps us a lot in many ways. Using the solar cookstove improves the cooking styles and livelihood of my village. We don't have to collect more firewood and no need to buy kerosene or gas. Saves time and money.
